  3. The 3 scientists are Theodor Schwann, Matthias Jakob Schleiden and Rudolf Virchow. The first 2 suggested that cells were the basic unit of life. However, Schleiden's method was somewhat different from the modern cell theory as he said that cells were formed through 'free cell formation'. Rudolf was the one who said that cells were formed by pre-existing cells which then, completed the cell theory.

  7. "Theodor Schwann"- he discovered it accidentally while having dinner with with his friend "Matthias Jakob Schleiden", together they worked on it.
    "Rudolf Virchow" founded the medical fields of cellular pathology and comparative pathology (comparison of diseases common to humans and animals).
